Terms of Service

These terms govern the rights, duties and responsibilities between Meydan and its users in relation to the website at meydanplace.com and the related services (the “Service”).

• “Service” means everything provided through the Meydan website, including articles, comments and member features.
• “User” means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these terms.
• “Member” means a user who has registered with an email or social account and been given an account.
• “Content” means anything a user posts to the Service, such as comments, images, links and other information.

These terms take effect when posted on the Service or otherwise announced.

We may amend these terms within the bounds of applicable law. Amendments are announced at least 7 days before they take effect, with the effective date and reason; amendments unfavourable to users are announced at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use the Service after an amendment is announced constitutes acceptance of it.

An account is created when you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy and complete the sign-up process. Users under 14 may not create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for safeguarding your account and password. If you learn that your account has been used without permission, notify us immediately.

You retain copyright in the content you post. You grant Meydan a free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and display that content within the Service to the extent needed to operate it.

You are legally responsible for what you post. We may remove or restrict content that breaches these terms or applicable law without prior notice.

Articles, images, design and other material created by Meydan are the copyright of Meydan and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted or adapted without prior permission. Quotation with attribution is allowed within the limits of copyright law.

We may display advertising on the Service to support its operation. Meydan is not responsible for any dealings between you and an advertiser.

We may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, with prior notice where possible. In unavoidable cases such as system failures or maintenance, notice may be given afterwards.

You may request deletion of your account at any time via the contact email below, and we will process it without delay.

If you breach these terms we may issue a warning or suspend your account temporarily or permanently. You may appeal such a measure through the contact email.

Unless applicable law provides otherwise, Meydan is not liable for damages arising from the use of this free Service.

Meydan is not liable where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure, including natural disasters and network failures.

Articles on Meydan express the personal views of their authors. Meydan does not guarantee the reliability or accuracy of information posted by users.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from the Service are subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
